Letha M. Severance Bangor – Letha M. Severance, 97, wife of the late Ray J. Severance, died May 19, 2016 in Bangor. She was born May 23, 1918 in Corinna, the daughter of Fred J. and Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ (Craig) Weeks. Letha was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker throughout her life and was a member of the former West Levant Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Ellen Severance of Bangor and Sadie Vicnaire of Wildomar, CA; two grandchildren, Carl Vicnaire and his wife, Luanne and Billy Vicnaire and his wife, Alyce all of Wildomar, CA; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and two brothers, Ira and Royce Weeks and by her twin sister, Leah Marie Sawyer. Letha’s family gratefully thanks the nursing staff and doctors at Eastside Rehabilitation Center, Bangor and the hospitals for the excellent care they provided over the years. A service in celebration and thanksgiving for Letha’s long life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at South Levant Baptist Church, Horseback Road, Levant. Burial will be at Tibbetts Cemetery, Exeter. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the South Levant Baptist Church, 784 Horseback Rd, Levant, ME 04456.
