Obituary of Stephen Paul Mannette
HOLDEN – Stephen Paul Mannette, 70, passed away October 10, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born January 29, 1952, in Bangor, the son of John and Dorothy (Phillips) Mannette.
Stephen graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1971. He then joined the Marine Corps and later the Army, retiring after 20+ years of service to his country. During retirement, he enjoyed gardening, reading, working in the woods, and keeping up with current events.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Carolyn M. McFarland of CA. Stephen is survived by sister Jackie Cooper and husband William of Holden; brother John Mannette and wife Gerri of Holden; sister Rose M. Jackson of Kenduskeag; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Stephen requested that donations be made to the Maine Audubon Society, 20 Gilsland Farm Rd., Falmouth, ME 04105.
