I was pleased to have known Joe Walsh.
When I started practicing law 39 years ago, he was always there to help me with sage advice.
Joe was always a gentleman.
He will be missed.
Patrick E. Hunt, Esq.

I was sorry to hear about Joe’s passing. I always enjoyed talking with him-whether at the Registry, Courthouse, Maine hockey games, or out and about. He always inquired about my family and I about his.
Joe was a fine lawyer, but he was an even better human being.

To the entire family of Joe Walsh Jr.,
I was saddened to learn of the death of Joe, the epitome of a gentleman at all times. He certainly was a bright, understated attorney, so very well respected. I know the loss of his wife, Katherine, was unbelievably difficult and, as I know from personal experience, it changes your life dramatically. Joe was very fortunate to have a large extended family that he loved dearly. I had numerous conversations with him regarding walking, jogging, physical exercise which I truly appreciated. When he would attend a funeral or a wake, he was generally by himself, always unpretentious. When he would leave, he would touch my arm and say: "Good job", which was most meaningful to me.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you during these difficult times.
Most Sincerely,
Gary Smith

The Walsh family,
I knew Joe from the Penobscot County Conservation Association. He was an active member and a willing volunteer. I enjoyed my time spent with him and our frequent conversations. May the family rest in peace knowing he is now having walks and conversations with God in Heaven. Cherish all the great family memories for they will last a lifetime. May God Bless you all.
