Obituary of Dale E. Richmond

Dale E. Richmond, 78, passed Friday, February 17, 2023 in Bangor. He was born March 31, 1944 in Natick, Massachusetts, the son of Vance B. and Grace E. (Weeks) Richmond.

Dale graduated from Wayland High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University. He enlisted in the US Navy and eventually became an officer serving 6 years as a Corpsman and worked as a nurse in the hospital in various areas of health care including ICU and CCU and in long term care.

Dale is survived by his four children, Susan Hansen of Webster, MA, Charles Richmond and his wife, Jacquelyn of Old Town, ME, Robert Richmond and his wife Ruth of Wisconsin and Thomas Richmond of Bangor, ME; seven grandchildren, Charles, Timothy and Christopher Hansen, Bennett, Abigail, Caleb and Kyle Richmond; two great grandchildren, Thorin and Olin Hansen; two sisters, Grace Sym and her husband, Thomas of Nashua NH, Gail Dodd and her husband, Donald of Goffstown, NH;  many nieces and nephews.

A chapel service and burial with military honors will be held 12 Noon Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer. Messages and memories of Dale may be shared with his family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
