Obituary of Gary Richard Melvin
Gary R. Melvin, 81, passed May 12, 2023 in Bangor after a brief illness. He was born March 7, 1942 in Brewer, the son of Maxwell L. and Bessie M. (Miller) Melvin.
Gary graduated from Brewer High School in 1960 and he worked for the Bangor Fire Department from which he retired after 24 years (1970-1994).
Surviving are his wife, Linda B. (Moran) Melvin of Orrington; three children: Brent Melvin and his wife, Kendra of Brewer, Shawn Melvin of Orrington and Rhonda Melvin of Orrington; two granddaughters, Kayla Kienow and her husband, Alan of Brewer, and Lily Stelline of Orrington; one great granddaughter, Madelyn Kienow of Brewer; brother-in-law, Stephen Moran and his wife Cheryl of Glenburn.
