Obituary of Rosemary L. Robinson

Rosemary Lawler Robinson of Bangor and Hampden Maine passed away at home August 5, 2023 after a short illness surrounded by her family. She was born on February 4, 1928 in Sherman Station, the daughter of James and Eva Lawler.

She was one of 8 children. Her family moved to Portland in her teens where she worked at the shipyard during WWII. She later met the love of her life, Carroll at a dance when he had returned from the Navy serving in the Pacific Theater. Several months later they were married in May of 1948, they were married for 59 years until Carroll’s death in 2006.

Rosemary was a loving mother to her four children and an active member of the community and her church. She loved traveling, camping and being with her family. She worked alongside Carroll (Robbie) in their businesses, selling snowmobiles and keeping the books for Robinson’s Machine Shop for 35 years.

She was predeceased by Carroll, her husband of 59 years, seven siblings and Anthony her grandson. She is survived by her sister Sally Brannon of North Carolina, her sons , Timothy G. Robinson Sr. of Skowhegan, Peter M. Robinson and his wife Jaynee of Windham, Kevin A. Robinson and his wife Bonnie of Levant, and her daughter Molly R. Protheroe and her husband Don of South Thomaston; ten grandchildren, Timothy Jr., Jenna, Anthony (deceased), Kristina, Seth, Brian, Marinna, Morgan, Emily, Maria, and Sophia; seven great grandchildren, Shyanne, Keeley, Elizabeth, Tyler, Kennedy, McKinley, and Merrick; and a special dog, Nellie.

Family and friends may visit 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring her life will be held at 1:00 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry at gsfb.org.
