I have many fond memories of Aunt Evelyn. She was my weekend mom for many years while I was growing up when I lived in the Bangor Gardens. I would stay with her from Friday evening to early Monday morning. Uncle Dana would take me home on his way to work so I could get to school on time. Sylvia was more of a big sister to me than a cousin. Evelyn would let Sylvia dress the cat up in baby doll cloths and we would put the cat in a babydoll carriage and walk it. Aunt Evelyn made the best berrie and fruit pies ever! My favorite was wild bluberry pie. Going into the kitchen was like smelling a bakery. She always looked so pretty with make-up, hair and stylish clothes. Her favorite color was pink. I was fortunate to have Aunt Evelyn as a big part of my childhood. Now Aunt Evelyn, it is time for you to rest peacefully afer so many years of hard work and caring. I will miss you but I have my special memories of you forever. With much Love, Debbie
