Obituary of Nancy L. Towle
Corinna & Garland - Nancy L. (Hollis) Towle, 79, passed away peacefully Nov. 4, 2023 in Pittsfield after a brief illness with her son, Michael by her side. She was born Oct. 22, 1944 in Dexter, the daughter of Renworth and Berniece Hollis.
From a young age, Nancy had many interests. She enjoyed helping with carpentry projects and she also raced stock cars at Unity Raceway in the 1960’s. She continued to enjoy the sport for many years watching and cheering on others. Nancy was a substitute teacher at Dexter Elementary School and always enjoyed working with children. She was a foster parent to several children for many years. Nancy was a longtime member of the Grange, she loved going to the local country music jams and she enjoyed eating out at various local restaurants with her daughter, Brandi.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Leon Towle, her brother, Larry Hollis and her son, Mark Prescott. She is survived by her son Michael Prescott, her daughter Brandi Towle and her brother, Barry Hollis.
Nancy requested that no formal services be held. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Penobscot Area Special Olympics, 299 Union St., Bangor, ME 04401.
