She enthusiastically served on the social committee at her condominium, enjoyed traveling, and maintained an active lifestyle by exercising with her friends at the Shores Community Center.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Shellie Jo Merrill of Port Orange, FL., her son, Charles N. Merrill and his wife, Kathy of Hermon, ME.; four grandchildren: Melissa, Charlie, Neal, and Daniel; five great-grandchildren, Samuel, Hannah, Benjamin, Amelia, and Maxwell.
