Obituary of Lori Kristen Maynard

Lori K. Maynard, 64, wife of Henry P. Maynard, Jr. passed June 8, 2024 at her home in Bangor surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 17, 1959 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Edward S. and Pauline (Giggey) Churchill.

Lori grew up and attended schools in Fort Fairfield. Her working career included a few different jobs including working in social services with teenage pregnancy at ACAP, working for Bank of America for many years and foster parenting with her husband. Lori’s most important job was being a stay at home mother to her children. She was also active in her church, Calvary Apostolic Church in Hampden.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 27 years, Henry P. Maynard, Jr. of Bangor, are her four children, David Churchill and his wife, Harley of Milford, Vanessa Marsh and her husband, Jason of Sanford, NC, Jacob Maynard and his fiancée Brianna of Carmel and Travis Maynard of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Zander, Kailynn, Harley, Oliver, Ella, Sophia and Nova; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Roberta  and Elmer Watson and Diane Brown all of Fort Fairfield, Donna Smith and Rev. David Smith of Ohio, Patricia and Dale Turner of New Brunswick, Carolyn Channell and Rev. Thomas Channell of Brewer; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Harold Churchill and his wife, Verssie of Lewiston, Paul and Peggy Churchill of Holden, Danny  and Jane Churchill of Fort Fairfield, Timothy and Vicki Churchill of Brewer and Kevin and Lori Churchill of Fort Fairfield; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lori was predeceased by two sisters, Alma Mae Churchill and Marilyn Churchill and two brothers, Samuel and David Churchill.

A service honoring Lori’s life will be held 12 Noon Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Calvary Apostolic Church, 24 Crosby Way, Hampden with her brother-in-law, Rev. Thomas Channell, presiding. Family and friends may visit at the church from 10 AM until the service begins. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
