Obituary of Philip R. Fitzpatrick
BANGOR—Philip Richard Fitzpatrick, Jr., 91, passed away June 19, 2024. He was born in Millinocket May 13, 1933, the son of the late Philip Sr and Gladys (Walsh) Fitzpatrick.
Philip graduated from Stearns High School in 1951. He served in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, retiring in 1974. He went to work for the Red Cross Blood Services and retired in 1991.
He was predeceased by wife Eleanor; sister Phyllis Garvin; brothers Robert, James, William, Martin and John Paul Fitzpatrick. Philip is survived son Kevin Fitzpatrick of Hermon; stepson John Dowling of Amherst; stepdaughter Carol and husband Max of West Buxton; sister Ann and husband Dave Ashmore of Brewer; brother Terrance and wife Gerry of Orrington; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and committal will be held 10 A.M.Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com.
