Marquette C. Nadeau Obituary

Marquette C. Nadeau, 87, passed June 20, 2024 at her home in Glenburn. She was born January 4, 1937 in Waterville to Arthur and Louise (Libby) Gilbert.


She attended schools in Waterville, graduating from Mount Merici Academy in 1957. She worked in the Waterville area for several years in different capacities. She met Armand Nadeau in 1958 and married on May 26, 1962. They recently celebrated their 62nd anniversary with their close friends, Cheryl and Peter Pitula of Glenburn. She moved to the Bangor area when Armand transferred to the Merrill Trust Co. from Federal Trust in Waterville. Marquette began volunteering in the Brewer School System in the classroom of Cheryl Pitula. She was loved by the students and teachers alike. Marquette was also active in her Catholic faith, was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish and she enjoyed making rosaries which were sent to people all over the world.


Marquette is survived by her husband, Armand and by a nephew, John Deag of Florida. She was predeceased by her sister and aunt, Cecile.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Burial will be afterward at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.  For those who wish, memorial gifts may be made to the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament, 101 Sliver St., Waterville, ME 04901.
