Kenneth E. Jarvis Obituary

Kenneth E. Jarvis, 82, passed June 26, 2024 at his home in Dedham surrounded by family. He was born Dec. 22, 1941 in East Millinocket, the son of Donald E. and Lena P. (Barton) Jarvis.


Kenneth grew up in East Millinocket and was a longtime resident of Dedham. He worked in housekeeping services for St. Joseph Hospital for 45 years retiring as the department manager. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He also enjoyed the time he spent volunteering at All Saints Catholic School, sports events and scouting activities.


Surviving are three children, Kenneth Jarvis, Jr. and his wife, Bethany of Dedham, Chris Jarvis and his wife, Marla of Warren and Roxanne Jarvis of Brewer; five grandchildren, Erik, Ryan, Paige, Benjamin and Zachary; four great grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte Markie; one brother, Ronald “Butch” Jarvis and his wife, Alta; nieces, nephews and cousins.  Kenneth was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Suzanne O. (Clark) Jarvis, a grandson, Mark Jarvis and by seven siblings, Lelan Jarvis, Ensley Jarvis, Winnie McGreevey, Barbara Lyons, Hazel Vaznis, Betty Austin and Donald Jarvis, Jr.


Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 pm Monday, July 8, 2024 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring and celebrating his life will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic School, or your charity of choice.  Messages and memories of Kenneth may be shared with his family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
