Orrington – Seth L. Adams, Jr., 77, husband of Beverly A. Adams, passed peacefully July 10, 2024 at home surrounded by family. He was born January 20, 1947 in Old Town, the son of Seth L. Adams, Sr. and Catherine E. (Bradford) Adams.

Seth grew up in Old Town and attended Old Town schools. He served in the US Air Force for four years after high school during the Vietnam era and was an aircraft mechanic and crew chief with the Maine Air National Guard for 31 years retiring in 2001.  Seth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He and Beverly enjoyed camping every Memorial Day weekend at Seawall Campground in Acadia National Park.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 56 years, Beverly A. Adams are three children, Vickie Merchant of Levant, Roger Adams and his wife, Kathy of Hermon and Wayne Adams and his wife, Traci of Orrington; nine grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, David Adams and his wife, Rosemary of Veazie and Nathan Adams of Las Vegas, NV; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and by a daughter, Deborah Wheeler in 2010.

A private graveside and burial with military honors will take place at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. Messages and memories may be shared with his family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
