Dear Ann, I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I cannot imagine the loss you must feel. The closeness between you and your mom was incredible and to be admired. Fifteen years with her, taking care of your brother for over four years, and losing another child in the midst and yet you still manage to laugh and stay strong. As you would often say, "We are lucky to have each other". Your mom told me. that no matter what or where in the world you were, you called her each and every day! Wow! It will be different not to see you and your dear mother together, especially at Mass. Her gift of faith was certainly passed to you, and you embraced it as you did all good things in life. The obituary was beautifully written and reminded me of when you were heading the Right to Life program in the Diocese of Richmond in Virginia. Your speeches were eloquent and to the point, but you never failed to mention your own mother. Thinking of you and your family at this time and keeping you and "Mama" in my prayers.
