Alex M. Pelletier, 26, died unexpectedly August 20, 2024 in Bangor. He was born Sept. 22, 1997 in Bristol, Connecticut, the son of Maurice Pelletier and Sylvie (LaFlamme) Pelletier.

Alex grew up in Aroostook County and was a graduate of Washburn District High School. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps serving four years as a 0331 with the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines, Camp Lejeune, NC. He recently graduated from Husson University in Bangor with a degree in psychology.

Surviving are his father, Maurice Pelletier and Francine of New Brunswick and his mother, Sylvie Pelletier of Bristol, Conn; his grandmother, Irma Pelletier of St. Anne, NB, Can.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fellow Marines.

Family and friends may visit 2 – 5 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, ME where a funeral liturgy will be held in honor of Alex’s life at 5 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial and committal with military honors will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.  For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Maine Veterans Project, 207 Parkview Ave, Bangor, ME. 04401 or at maineveteransproject.org/donation.
