Betsy C. Goss, 82, wife of the late Dr. Paul F. Goss, passed Oct. 23, 2024 in Bangor. She was born Nov. 21, 1941 in Berlin, New Hampshire, the daughter of William C. and Ruth E. (Hastings) Chapman.

Betsy graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel, ME and from the University of Maine in Orono. She taught high school English and French at Foxcroft Academy. Later, as a dedicated homemaker, Betsy’s family was of most importance. She loved her family and her pets and was a Boston Red Sox fan.

Surviving are two children, Jeffrey Goss of  Bangor and a daughter, Mary-Sue Massey and her husband, Chris of Clinton, Miss; two grandchildren, Nathan Massey and his wife, Taylor and Samantha Massey all of Mississippi; nephews Skip Barlow of NY and Andy Barlow of CA; cousins Tammy MacDormand and Jack Chapman both from Bethel, ME. Betsy was predeceased by her husband of 43 years and by a sister, Mary-Jane Barlow.

A graveside service honoring Betsy’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Charleston Village Cemetery, Charleston. Messages and memories of Betsy may be shared with her family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
