Bangor & Fort Kent--Caroline Beckman, 74, former resident of Fort Kent, Maine, passed away Tuesday, June 28, from a lengthy illness. She was born December 30, 1941, in Van Buren, the daughter of the late Frank and Ann Marie Martin.

Caroline is survived by daughter, Christina Beckman of California; granddaughter, Carrie Asquith of Florida; two great granddaughters, Alenah and Tiane; five sisters, one brother and one sister-in-law: Terry and Wally Dobbs of Montana, Marlene Madore of New Hampshire, Judy and Rick Knapczyk of Florida, Barbara Najera of Texas, Cindy Villasenor of Texas, James Martin of Texas, Robertine Martin; several nieces and nephews.

Caroline graduated Van Buren Girls High School in 1960. After high school she became a Lab Tech then moved to California where she became a Hair Stylist. Later in life she moved back to Fort Kent where she attended and graduated from Fort Kent State College majoring in Early Education.

A memorial service will be held for Caroline on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11 am at Assembly of God Church, 564 Frenchville Road, Fort Kent. Reverend Duane Stiles will be officiating. A luncheon to follow service at Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow the luncheon at Grand-Rivière Cemetery in Van Buren, Maine.
