Eddington—Beth M. Sutherland, 54, passed away peacefully July 10, 2016 at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1961, the daughter of the late Vaughn M. Roberts Jr. and Gladys (DuFour) Rogers.

Beth worked for many years, until her illness forced her to retire, at Bangor Federal Credit Union. She was loved by the members and always greeted them with a smile. The family thanks BFCU for their understanding and support during her illness. The family would also like to thank New Hope Hospice, Cancer Care of Maine and EMMC for their compassionate care of Beth for the last 26 months.

Beth was predeceased by her parents; father-in-law Perley Sutherland; brother-in-law Fred Cannon. She is survived by her husband Scott; son Shawn; sisters Mildred Cannon, Linda Conn and husband Jerry, Karen Austin and husband John, Nancy Greer and husband Charles; brothers Arnold Westman and wife Katharine, Vaughn M. Rogers III, Scott Rogers and wife Lisa; mother-in-law Eleanor Sutherland; sisters-in-law Christine Rogers, Kelley Bernard and husband Anthony; brother-in-law Gary Sutherland and significant other Janice Woods; many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

Family and friends may visit 4 – 7 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday, July 14, at First United Methodist Church, 40 South Main St., Brewer, with the Pastor Harbour Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Eddy Cemetery, Eddington. The family invites everyone to a reception at the church immediately following the burial.
