I took that photo of Donnie when I visited him and Jeff in their home a couple of years ago! The shirt he was wearing, he took off his back one night and gave it to Dave, because Dave liked it.
There isn't enough room here to share what Donnie meant to us! We are broken-hearted with a big empty space that only he could fill. Donnie was a lot of fun, no matter where he was, no matter how he was feeling, he would light up a room with his stories and his infectious laughter. He always took time to listen, he never judged, but had a way of showing you how he cared with his words of wisdom, We will never forget the long weekends he and Jeff would spend with us in Tucson. We're so glad we have those memories of the fun times we shared reminiscing, singing & harmonizing and just listening to our favorite oldies. Donnie could always entertain us by just being "himself". Those who knew him, know what we mean....he was like no other! Donnie was deeply devoted to his family and we admired how he put them first even near the end of his life. He had a great capacity to love and showed us every time we spoke to him or saw him. We will remember him just like we always did, spending time together with him and Jeff, relaxing, drinking (a little lately) and singing along to music......
