Richard to me was a mountain of a friend, until the end. Since I left Maine in 1996, with a brief return in 1999 and 2000 Dick was always was there, demonstrating honesty, trust, loyalty, and a depth to a friendship that in reflection, in my life was the rarest of joys shared by two men with distance and lives that diverted from each other. Our friendship persisted and evolved until the end. Ill miss Big Dog the rest of my days; I am relieved that for him that he is now clean of his struggles with health.
To the Geaghan family, I am sorry for the loss of the little brother. I know it has been a torturous road for you. I know first hand that he loved all of you more than everything else in the world.
Big Dawg, look forward to boogieing at some great big ole blues concert on the other side. Love you today like I did 25 years ago, and will till my time.
