Dear Joanie, I am so sorry on the loss of your soul partner. I always remember you and Rock attending basketball games at the Bangor auditorium. You were a blessed couple and a model of love for so many. I will celebrate a Mass for Rock, you and the rest of your family this weekend in Haverhill Ma where I live in residence as a retired priest. Love you dearly Dickie Obie aka the singing priest.

Dear Joan and family,
Reading the news in today's paper about Rock's passing was very, very sad but welcomed a flood of wonderful memories of the John Bapst days, the dances on Friday nights, the CYO activities, skating at the Roller Rink, and sometimes baby sitting for your children on Saturdays. At reunions , we still talk about those fun days.
Rock came by his name honestly as he was the "Rock" for so many kids back then. He kept us in line, but with good sense of humor and respect for us.The support he gave was so special, especially for those going through rough patches in their lives. Thinking about all of the hours of his own time he spent with children and teens makes my head spin.
Rock and his dear wife Joan left a legacy that will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace dear Rock,
Patricia Martin Class of 1968

My deepest condolence to the Pooler family on the passing of Rcck. I shared so many wonderful memories with Rock at John Bapst and Brewer High schools. Rock was a special person who touched many lives. I am sure God is well pleased with his many accomplishments on earth. Our loss on earth is definitely God's gain in Heaven .Rock will be loved ALWAYS, be missed ALWAYS and be remembered ALWAYS by his family students, athletes and many friends. .My thoughts and prayers will be with the Pooler family during this difficult time. GOD bless Rock and God bless the Pooler family.
